Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Who we are
WhatWorked ("WhatWorked", "we", "us") operates whatworked.online, a web application that combines a curated database of growth case studies and tactics with SEO research tools. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account and must provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a subscription.
3. Plans, billing and renewal
The free plan gives access to the tactics archive and a limited monthly credit allowance. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Scale) are monthly subscriptions that unlock additional content and tools and a larger credit allowance, as described on the pricing page.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments is the seller of the subscription, handles applicable taxes, and issues invoices; their name may appear on your card statement. We never receive or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the pricing page; access continues until the end of the paid period, after which the account reverts to the free plan. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
4. Credits and fair use
Research tools consume credits from your plan's monthly allowance, at the rates shown on the pricing page. Credits reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over or convert to cash. Fresh lookups are rate-limited to protect the service. We may adjust credit costs prospectively; material changes will be announced on the pricing page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-export, resell or redistribute the database or tool results as a competing product;
- share one account across multiple people or circumvent plan limits, rate limits or content gating;
- probe, disrupt or overload the service, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
6. Content and intellectual property
The service, including its design, software, database curation and original summaries, is owned by us or our licensors. Case studies summarise publicly available sources, which are credited and linked; the underlying facts and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own business research. Metrics and third-party data shown by the tools are estimates provided for research purposes.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Growth results described in case studies are historical outcomes achieved by others and are not a promise that any tactic will work for you. SEO metrics are third-party estimates and may be inaccurate or out of date. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate the service or your access to it for breach of these terms, legal reasons, or discontinuation of the product; if we discontinue paid service, any prepaid unused period will be refunded.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions? Contact support@whatworked.online or use the support form.
